PODCAST 34 of the
American Zen Buddhist Rock Podcast
Hosted by The Hippy Coyote of
American Zen

Episode 14 of American Zen's
LEVEL 2 = CHRIST KILLER cd.

Coyote talks about the afterlife. Dividing the afterlife into four worlds, Heaven, Limbo, Purgatory, and Hell, Coyote reads his sentences written by following the instructions at actZEN.com, "Beginnings of Who You Are."

"As leader, and frontman flutist of American Zen, I will pursue my Buddhist journey of 8 levels to be produced in music and video by Shaolin Records as we travel the path of Kung Fu and Tai Chi at the shaolinZEN.org CyberTemple," reads Coyote from his actZEN.com self-help instructions.

"Accept the positive... holding my son's hand..."

Coyote defines WHO I AM, WHAT I AM, and his "good" and "bad" points. "I'm a noisy neighbor."

What are you doing with your life? Master Zhen's instructions include rewarding yourself with ice cream and movies, "...when you accomplish small goals."

Our sweaty host is fresh from rehearsals with his band, American Zen, as they prepare to record their next album, LEVEL 3 = I Want You To Love Me.

PODCAST 33 of the
American Zen Buddhist Rock Podcast
Hosted by The Hippy Coyote of
American Zen

Episode 13 of American Zen's
LEVEL 2 = CHRIST KILLER cd.

Coyote performs LIVE in his girlfriend's kitchen for this podcst. Coyote says, "Hey! I'm Living a good life."

The storyline for today focuses on the NUMBER 13. "It means a lot of different things, to a lot of different people -- but today we're gonna talk about LUCK."

Coyote skips today's reading at actZEN.com due to his excitement in the kitchen. "I'm gonna do a live song, right here and now," explains our zen dog. "I like playing to God and Buddha and all those other people who might be watching -- but sometimes it's nice to be in this world and play for somebody here."

Coyote apologizes for his "ribbing" Christians about Apostle Paul touching the wounds of the resurrected Christ, and referring to Jesus as a zombie. Coyote requests you not send hate mail as he's had to turn some of his phone answer machine messages over to the police department already.

Coyote offers to teach us that "Luck does not exist." Not to disappoint his audience Coyote offers, "...something better than luck." Translating the word "luck" to mean "circumstance," Coyote teaches us "THE SECRET OF GOOD LUCK." The result of Coyote's luck theory should create a "good life."

PODCAST 32 of the
American Zen Buddhist Rock Podcast
Hosted by The Hippy Coyote of
American Zen

Episode 12 of American Zen's
LEVEL 2 = CHRIST KILLER cd.

Continuing at actZEN.com, Coyote reviews the first pages of the MATURITY SECTION after starting at the "Person" page by Master Zhen, founder of shaolinZEN.org CyberTemple. "We're here to have a great life," explains Coyote. Referring to Buddha as a "genius... an amazing dude!" and praising the written words of the first Buddha and the many others who followed in the past two centuries -- Coyote criticizes Paul the Apostle for "putting words in Christ's mouth..." Risking more disdain, The Hippy Coyote continues his blasphemy as he claims that Christ wouldn't raise people from the dead.

"For everything that religion is doing to improve people's lifes -- I applaud you," announces Coyote. Coyote says he's not explaining the Christ Killer theme any more. "Go back and listen to a previous podcast," instructs our zen pup. After explaining our mortal relationhsip to God and Jesus, Coyote says that "that's the height of selfishness," criticizing Jesus Christ for supposedly raising old friends from the dead.

PODCAST 31 of the
American Zen Buddhist Rock Podcast
Hosted by The Hippy Coyote
of American Zen

Episode 11 of American Zen's
LEVEL 2 = CHRIST KILLER cd.

Continuing at actZEN.com, Coyote backtracks to the page he was supposed to revisit last week, "Person," to be your physical trainer and coach as he reminds everyone that their life is a snapshot of many different moments of their day, all combined together, to create a "Person."

Coyote confesses that his Kung Fu Master, Wong Jack Man of San Francisco, was the man who beat up Bruce Lee in the sixties -- which resulted in Bruce Lee creating a new martial arts style, Jeet Kune Do. Coyote criticizes Bruce Lee and talks excitedly about learning TanTui 9, which Bruce's father taught him as a youth ("Tom Toys" as Bruce Lee referred to them in his autobiography.).

Coyote doesn't allow headaches...

Coyote also says, "SEND ME YOUR SURFING VIDEOS for our next music video." After not being selected for an upcoming surf movie, Coyote decides to make a music video of surfing shots for the American Zen song, "I Want To Laugh #2."

(Flute instrumental song, by Coyote has a sombre spiritual seriousness. Coyote wrote this song about his life in Utah and how he summed it up at that point in his life. Coyote's apartment was located on 500 South Street, or "5th South," as it was referred to in Salt Lake City, Utah.)

(Physical Graphitti by Led Zeppelin could've included this song. "From Within" shows a further developed spirituality into the LEVEL 3 of Zen Buddhism. In the first album, Coyote was complaining about being held down, "Black Of Night," and "Whose Heaven Is This?" During the second album-level, Coyote seemed to be hovering above his Mormon neighbors and he saw all the facets of their life and religion, the Church of Latter Day Saints. Now, for their third level, "From Within," Coyote seems determined, patient, compassionate, and without resentment states, "I do not want to argue / you can stay as you are / I'll pass by here soon again / maybe you'll be ready then..."
